June 2005: Medipolis GMP reaches an cooperation agreement with Scil Proteins GmbH and signs a manufacturing contract with Evolutec Plc.
Medipolis GMP has entered into a cooperation agreement with the German Scil Proteins GmbH. Scil Proteins specializes in process development of microbial production systems, but has no access to GMP facilities. Medipolis GMP Ltd CMP disposes over clean room facilities and offers a strong competence in industrial and regulatory issues. The cooperation agreement covers both technology and business development as well as joint efforts in sales and marketing. The companies jointly can much better offer integrated services, while also substantially improve their services to their customers. The first joint activity will be in June 19-22 during the Bio05 event in Philadelphia, USA. Bio05 is arranged annually and it is by far the largest and most important bio business gathering in the world.
Medipolis GMP Ltd. has also entered into a manufacturing contract with Evolutec plc., an UK based drug discovery and development company. The project is an important step toward entering the international market.
Medipolis GMP has revised its strategy and is actively investing in international business development and sales and marketing. The overall improvement of the funding situation of biotech companies has lead to an increased demand for services.
